Team Biographies
Ron Boltik
Ron Boltik has had a passion for cars and racing since childhood and re-discovered that passion in 1997 when he found the University of Minnesota FSAE team. Since then he’s worked as mechanic, DAG, and race engineer for Genoa Racing, JDC Motorsports and Andersen Racing before starting ZSports Midwest with Steve Thomson.
Steve Thomson
Steve Thomson has driven race cars for over 30 years—stock cars, Formula Vee, Pro Super Vee, Pro F2000 and SCCA Formula Continental. He has many SCCA national wins, including two June Sprints Championships and two Central Division championships. He’s driven support races at Formula One, ALMS and ChampCar events throughout his career.
Leslie Thomson
Leslie has been around auto racing all her life with her grandfather, uncle and father racing cars through the 60's, 70's and 80's. She has been an SCCA worker with experience in F1, the original CART series, IMSA, Trans AM and many SCCA events. For 10 years, Leslie also raced Formula Vee's in SCCA Regional and National competition, sometimes racing head to head against her husband with neither one giving up a corner. They soon realized racing together was not in their future.
Scott Hutchison
A life long resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Scott has prepped and raced cars in the SCCA since 1972. He has participated in the following classes: Formula Ford, Club Formula Ford, Formula C, Formula Continental, Sports 2000, Spec Racer, G Production, E Production, and B Sedan. He has set lap records in Formula Ford and Spec Racer at Brainerd International Raceway and Club Formula Ford at Road America, He has earned several Central Division Regional Championships.
